A field guide for a world being rediscovered
WoW Forever is Blizzard’s newly announced way to return to the original world of Azeroth, with a different path ahead. Forever Atlas brings the first useful details together: what is changing in a class, which races can choose it, and what is known about the new places waiting beyond familiar borders.

What has actually been announced?
The official cinematic description gives September 17, 2026 as the Beta opening date and November 4, 2026 as the launch date. The official Blizzard store also confirms new and expanded zones, a playable Skyborne race, changes to core systems and new race/class combinations.
BlizzCon reporting describes Forever as a third experience alongside Modern and Classic, with a level cap of 60. The announcement includes new quests, dungeons and raids. Those headlines explain the direction, but they do not settle every question about balance, progression or individual spell behavior. Our world guide separates the named places from the details still waiting for confirmation.
Make a character choice with context
A familiar class name does not guarantee a familiar toolkit. A changed resource mechanic or a new ability may matter more to your choice than an early damage ranking. The change explorer separates abilities, talents and race options so you can see what kind of change you are looking at.
Each entry includes a short Classic comparison, a preview summary and a link to the source. The first collection covers Warrior talent differences, Paladin abilities and several newly available race combinations. A class with no entries is still being documented; it should not be read as a claim that the class is unchanged.
Race comparisons focus on the abilities and class choices shown in the community preview. We leave unverified numerical values out. You can compare the two Skyborne faction variants, or choose an original race that supports your class. These are planning notes rather than a recommendation that one race is universally best.
Follow the evidence as the game develops
Early screenshots, event reports and community transcriptions can disagree. We label their status and record when the notes were checked. An official announcement establishes the date or feature it actually names; it does not automatically confirm every detail reported elsewhere.
Read the source and coverage notes before relying on a preview entry for a final character decision. For testing access, regional details or a purchase, follow the current official Battle.net information. Forever Atlas does not distribute the game or provide Beta keys.
This edition was assembled from the September 2026 reveal. It is a useful starting point for the next adventure, with room for the Beta client to answer the questions that a trailer cannot. Choose a class, explore its options, and return to the original source whenever a detail matters.
