A guide without accounts
Forever Atlas does not request an account or collect form submissions. Search and comparison filters are handled in your browser and stored in the page address, not sent to a Forever Atlas application server. Hosting and third-party services may receive request addresses as described below.
Using Share copies the current page address to your clipboard when your browser permits it. You choose where to send that link.
Optional audience measurement
Google Analytics 4 loads only after you choose Allow analytics. Declining keeps optional analytics off and all guides and tools remain available. You can reopen Analytics settings in the footer to change your decision. Withdrawing consent stops collection, removes this site’s Google Analytics cookies and reloads the page.
With consent, Analytics measures visited pages, referral sites, approximate geography, device information and interactions such as class filters, race comparisons, destination-type filters and empty-result counts, successful copy-to-share actions, expanded change notes and trailer-open clicks. It uses first-party cookies to help distinguish visits. We do not send your search text, filter URLs, email addresses or account identifiers in our custom events. Page addresses sent to Analytics exclude query strings and fragments; referring addresses are reduced to their website origin. Automatic site-search, form and video tracking are disabled. Advertising personalization and Google Signals are not enabled by our analytics code.
Your consent choice is stored locally for up to 180 days. Analytics cookies are configured to expire after 180 days, with use able to renew their expiry. Google processes Analytics data under Google’s Privacy Policy. See also how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Measurements represent consenting visitors and may be incomplete when browsers block tracking.
Advertising and advertising choices
We use Google AdSense to support this free fan resource. The AdSense code is enabled on public content pages; ad delivery depends on Google's approval, ad availability and your privacy choices. Ads may not appear on every visit. Privacy, terms and source pages are excluded from automatic ad placements.
Google and its advertising partners may process page addresses, IP addresses, device information, cookies and similar identifiers to deliver and measure advertising, prevent fraud and, where permitted by your choices, personalize ads. See how Google uses information from partner sites and Google's advertising privacy information.
Google and other third-party vendors can use advertising cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this website and other websites. Where you allow personalization, those cookies help Google and its partners choose ads using those visits.
You can turn off personalized Google ads in Ads Settings. You may also opt out of participating third-party vendors through YourAdChoices. Google’s consent message lists participating advertising partners and their privacy policies; those providers may offer further choices on their own websites. Opting out of personalization does not remove every advertisement.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, we use Google's published consent message with Consent, Do not consent and Manage options choices. Use Ad & cookie settings in the footer to review your advertising choices. When Google's regional consent panel is available, this reopens it so you can manage or withdraw consent. Otherwise the link opens this section, including the direct Google and third-party opt-out links above. Google may also add its own Privacy and cookie settings link on ad-enabled pages.
Advertising choices are separate from the optional Google Analytics choice above. Allowing analytics does not grant advertising consent; declining analytics does not itself disable advertising. Your browser's privacy settings may also limit cookies or advertising.
Videos and external services
Official video thumbnails are served as local site images. Pressing play loads a YouTube privacy-enhanced player, which makes requests to YouTube and is subject to its privacy practices. Official-channel links and other source links open the destination service.
This site is hosted on Vercel. The hosting service may process normal web request information, such as IP addresses and user-agent information, to deliver and protect the site. See Vercel’s Privacy Notice. This page will be reviewed when our use of these services changes.
