Read the table as a character-planning reference
This WoW Forever race class combinations table brings the nine classes and both factions into one view. It uses the same dataset as the racial ability comparison, so selecting a race takes you to its recorded traits with your class and faction already selected.
The list comes from a community transcription of preview footage, checked on September 13, 2026. A listed combination means it appears in that source snapshot. The table has not been independently verified against the Beta character-creation screen.
Which combinations are highlighted as new?
The new labels highlight four additions also named in the WOWTBC.GG reveal overview: Human Hunter, Dwarf Shaman, Gnome Priest and Undead Paladin. These labels give readers an easy way to find the additions corroborated by that report.
The community table also lists Orc Mage and Troll Warlock. They remain visible in the full list, but the overview used for the four highlighted additions does not separately enumerate them. An option without a new label should therefore not be read as proof that it is unchanged from original Classic.
Skyborne: one race, two faction variants
Both Skyborne entries list Warrior, Hunter, Rogue and Druid. The community transcription and overview used here list Mage on Alliance and Shaman on Horde. Some first-day reporting reverses those two caster options, which is why the relevant table entries carry a check note link.
If you specifically want a Skyborne caster, keep the faction decision provisional until you can confirm the character-selection screen. The Skyborne guide explains the source conflict and the distinction between the race unlock and ongoing game access. It also links to the official collection information.
Choose a faction with your group
Start with the constraint that affects the whole group: which faction you intend to play. Then check each person's preferred class in that column. A character being listed elsewhere in the table does not solve a mismatch with the faction your group has chosen.
If a class has several listed races, select an option to inspect its abilities in the comparison tool. When only one option remains, the tool shows that option without pretending there is a second distinct choice. This is especially useful when checking Horde Paladin or Alliance Shaman in the current snapshot.
Availability and strength answer different questions
The table answers which characters are listed as available. It does not rank their damage, healing or tanking performance. For a useful comparison, choose the activity you care about and look at the relevant traits: a survival tool, movement convenience or resource interaction may matter differently in different situations.
The Warrior guide and Paladin guide connect those race choices to their documented class changes. Other classes remain available in the race comparison even when the change explorer has no verified ability entries for them. Missing class-change coverage is not a claim that a class stays the same.
What to check before creating your character
Confirm the current client offers your intended faction, race and class together. Read the relevant racial tooltips, then check any access requirement attached to the choice. For a new race, do not assume a general game subscription and a specific race unlock are interchangeable benefits.
Use the Beta guide for the published schedule and official access checks. Our sources and coverage notes explain how future corrections should be reflected in the table and tools. This page keeps the planning information together while leaving the source links close enough to check a detail that matters to you.
Questions from the campfire
Can Undead be Paladins in WoW Forever?
Undead Paladin is reported as a new combination in the BlizzCon overview and appears in the community race table. It is included here as preview information, pending direct client verification.
Which Alliance race can be a Shaman?
Our current preview dataset lists Dwarf. Skyborne faction-specific caster reports conflict: the sources used for this table list Shaman on Horde and Mage on Alliance. Confirm the split in the Beta client.
Are the two Skyborne entries different races?
No. They are faction variants of the same new race. Both list Warrior, Hunter, Rogue and Druid, while the additional caster option is provisional.
