Read the WoW Forever spellbook in context
Choose a class, source and spellbook tab, or search by an English or Chinese spell name or effect. Hovering gives a quick preview; selecting a card opens the full description here. The same detail view works by keyboard and touch. All 253 entries use the source’s individual spell-icon mappings; shared abilities may use the same artwork.
Each card keeps the rank string and the resource, range, cast-time or cooldown lines supplied by the source. The nine Beta cards also identify the source’s character learning level. An absent field means the export did not provide it; it does not mean zero cost or no cooldown. The original English tooltip and provenance can be expanded in each detail card. The Chinese edition includes our translations alongside English names; new Chinese names are editorial translations, not confirmed official names.
A description is not a complete rotation
Begin with what makes a spell usable: resource cost, required target, weapon or stance conditions, then range and cooldown. Only after those conditions are understood should you compare it with another action. A talent that changes one of these conditions may matter more to your intended playstyle than the largest damage number in isolation.
For example, compare a Warrior talent plan with the Warrior change notes, or pair a Paladin plan with the Seal and blessing notes. These are reading paths, not recommended rotations or performance rankings.
What each source label means
The spell library includes 244 demo records with nonempty descriptions. Some come from another class’s footage because the ability is shared; the detail card preserves that provenance. The nine newer Beta samples are a curated level-20-and-below slice of the source’s 1.60.1.69876 client export. They are labeled by version and learning level, and have not been retested on client 69977. We exclude records whose text was filled in from Classic, rather than presenting that fallback as newly observed Forever data.
The talent calculator is a separate snapshot: its talent records are also labeled Beta by the source, but were checked against the September 20 export. A matching ability name across modules does not imply identical tooltip text or a verified current-client value.
Equipment: compare the version before the numbers
The equipment tab currently provides two checked Classic references. A weapon card separates physical and elemental damage, speed, attributes and triggered effects. An armor card separates armor from weapon-skill bonuses. Item level and required character level are displayed separately because they answer different questions.
These examples explain how to read a tooltip; they do not establish a Forever loot table or best-in-slot list. A listing in a Forever database whose detail page is unavailable is not enough to import Classic numbers into that version. We will only add Forever item values when the corresponding record can be checked.

Spell records are adapted from Talents Forever under CC BY 4.0. The 244 demo records were exported September 17; the nine Beta samples were checked against the September 20 export on September 24, 2026. Questions from the campfire
Are these the complete Beta spellbooks?
No. It contains 244 demo-footage descriptions and nine selected Beta 69876 tooltips, one per class. The Beta records have not been retested on client 69977. Classic fallback records are excluded. A missing entry does not prove a spell was removed.
Are the equipment cards Forever item recommendations?
No. The first two equipment cards are explicitly labeled Classic references. Their attributes were checked against Classic item pages; Forever availability and item tuning are not established by those pages.
